Our Chapter's Mission Statement |
SWE at UTSA is a student-led organization with a strong dedication to empowering women who are pursuing a degree in engineering and/or technology, and to succeed in their education and advance into their careers. Over the last few years our membership has grown by providing academic, social, and professional opportunities to all of our SWE members. With women comprising 31% of the students enrolled in the Kleese College of Engineering and Integrated Design, we expect our membership to increase further each year. Our organization hopes to positively influence women in all engineering and technology fields on our campus by providing experiences to support and empower them throughout their careers.
Our mission is to empower and support women in achieving their full potential as engineers and technicians in male-dominated industries; while building leadership and enhancing skill sets to make everlasting impacts on our members' futures and showcasing the value of life and diversity.
